Anup Khanal: The Youth Vice-President of NRNA NCC USA

Anup Khanal is a distinguished entrepreneur recognized for his leadership and active engagement in community initiatives, notably through the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). Serving as the Youth Vice-President from 2023 to 2025, Anup has been deeply committed to advancing community interests, utilizing his positions within the organization to foster positive change. Grounded in the belief that his cultural heritage provides a firm footing, Anup is dedicated to empowering and uplifting the youth to enrich the community. Anup’s skill in rallying communities has established him as a key figure in orchestrating impactful events. His election as the Secretary of NRNA NCC USA for the term 2021—2023 underscores his integrity, dedication, and outstanding leadership qualities. Hailing from Chandol, Kathmandu, Anup’s upbringing instilled in him the values that continue to shape his journey. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in construction management from Ashworth College, Anup has garnered diverse experiences and noteworthy accomplishments throughout his professional trajectory. Despite facing challenges upon relocating to the United States, Anup’s resilience propelled him toward success early in his career. With over six years of experience in the banking sector as a Personal Banker and Loan Officer, he exhibited his entrepreneurial flair by establishing his own company in 2017, offering a wide range of services encompassing construction, management, consulting, and engineering. Expanding his ventures, he founded another Construction company in 2019, consolidating his presence in the industry. In 2021, Anup ventured into the fix-and-flip sector, drawing inspiration from his father’s technical expertise and supported by his wife’s unwavering encouragement. Despite encountering obstacles, Anup remains unwavering in his pursuit of personal and professional growth, viewing his current accomplishments as stepping stones to greater success. Anup attributes his achievements to three core principles: enduring optimism in adversity, unwavering confidence in his capabilities, and a steadfast commitment to integrity and ethical values. Actively engaged in various social and political organizations, including the Nepal Student Union and Nepal Congress, Social Aspect Volunteer Service in Nepal, Nepali Public Relations Committee Maryland Chapter, INLS Maryland Chapter, Saathi Baltimore, etc. Anup’s dedication to community service remains steadfast. Acknowledging the inherent risks of entrepreneurship, Anup underscores the importance of diligence and collaboration with exceptional partners. Recognized for his contributions to literature and community service, Anup has also pursued a career in the modeling industry, participating in numerous ramp shows and receiving accolades such as Best Photogenic 2001 and Best Catwalk 2001. He has been honored with official citations from Maryland state delegates and the Baltimore County Executive for his significant contributions to the Nepalese community.
