Meet Dr Binod Khadka, a multifaceted individual whose journey unfolds through various professional roles and a rich tapestry of experiences. Born on March 19th, 1979, in Nepal to parents Janga Bahadur Khadka and Dil Maya Khadka, Binod has carved an impressive professional path and cherishes meaningful family moments. Binod Khadka holds a distinguished professional title: MD, MBA, CPE, FACP, CHCQM, CPHQ, CPPS, Blackbelt in Six Sigma Management, and LEAN Certified in Management. Currently serving as the System Hospitalist Medicine Program Director, Binod’s career boasts an array of qualifications, including an Executive MBA from Marquette University Milwaukee ten certifications from Harvard Business School online, and three specializations from Harvard in Leadership and Management, Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. His educational journey is marked by excellence, securing the first position in SLC in the Eastern region at a Secondary Boarding School; in Itahari, Nepal. He further pursued an I.Sc. from St. Xavier’s College in Kathmandu, an MBBS from BPKIHS Dharan, and an MD from Cook County Hospital Chicago. Binod’s commitment to learning extends to various online courses, including those from Northwestern University Chicago and Wharton and Penn University. Family holds a special place in Binod’s life, growing together as a middle kid among 3 siblings brother Manoj and sister Bhawana; and he is happily married to his wife, Aditi Adhikari. Their family is composed of two sons, Abinav (9 years old) and Aayansh (5 years old). Binod grew up in a dynamic environment due to his father’s work with the Agricultural Development Bank, and guidance from his mom fostering adaptability and resilience. In addition to his HealthCare and management roles, Binod actively contributes to philanthropy. He serves as the President of the America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF), playing various roles within the organization for over a decade. Binod’s professional accomplishments extend to his role as the System Hospital Medicine Director at ProHealth Care and Apogee Physicians in Wisconsin, USA. He received the honor of the Best Program among 100 Programs of Apogee Hospitalists in the Nation; and also the “Be Amazing Award” as Director in the subsequent year. His involvement in healthcare leadership is further highlighted as the Chair of IMG (International Medical Graduate Committee) and Governor’s Council for ACP WI (American College of Physicians). Beyond the confines of his profession, Binod finds joy in photography, earning publication in National Geographic’s book- Destinations of a Lifetime and CNN travel photography. His love for travel and exploring new cultures and cuisines is underscored by a favorite quote:-Life is a journey, and if you fall in love with the Journey you will be in love forever; and you will reach the Destination with Happiness.
