Amrita Shah, a distinguished figure in Toronto’s real estate realm, has etched her name as one of the most prominent professionals in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, she holds the title of realtor and serves as a board director at Homelife 24/7 Realty Brokerage.
Amritaa’s early life was marked by a close bond with her father, fostering a nostalgic connection to her wonderful childhood filled with cherished memories. She completed her high school education at Padmakanya High School and pursued higher secondary education at Himalayan Boarding School, later upgraded to the Toronto School Board. Her academic journey included a business bachelor’s degree in Nepal, complemented by a real estate diploma from Ontario Real Estate College.
Amrita Shahh’’s journey is marked by multifaceted accomplishments, f. From a young age, Amrita harbored a passion for modeling, participating in advertising campaigns for popular Nepalese brands like Upahar Tea and Rumpum Noodles from 1999 to 2005. Then She served as a client service executive at ANS Creation from 2001 to 2004. In 2004, Amrita founded her advertising agency, Creative Explorer Pvt. Ltd., where she held the position of Executive Director and Owner.
Further expanding her endeavors, she became the Managing Director and Owner of Aspen Advertising and Marketing Agency from 2009 to 2012.
Known for her dedication to client service and adept management, Amrita excelled in her modeling and advertising career, catering to national and multinational brands, including Pepsi, Quality Biscuits, Rumpum Noodles, and Nawalakhel Distillery.
Amritaa’s journey took a turn when she moved to Canada in 2012 to pursue further education. Overcoming initial challenges and missing her family, she completed her undergraduate studies in Toronto, subsequently embarking on a career in real estate.
Driven by a realization of the limited presence of women entrepreneurs in real estate, especially in her community, Amrita decided to contribute to filling this gap. In 2017, she became a real estate center realtor at REMAX, amassing experience and confidence.
Later, in 2020, Amrita ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing her own real estate company, where she serves as a Brokerage Realtor and board of directors.
Amrita faced hardships in the early stages of starting her business but remained resilient. Her experiences in Nepal taught her the value of perseverance in managing month-to-month expenses.
Despite challenges, she finds joy in two significant moments: starting her business at 24 in Nepal and opening a real estate brokerage in Canada.
Amrita faced a personal setback when her mother was diagnosed with cancer, bringing painful days for the family. Her father, Agni Bikran Shah, and husband, Sunanda Subedi, remain her sources of inspiration.
Her commitment extends beyond her professional pursuits, she supported over 100 clients in finding their dream homes in Canada.
Amrita also received the Homelife Super Elite Club award in 2021 and was recognized as a top –5% sales representative in Canada based on gross sales. In 2015, she served as the Vice-Chairperson of NCHC and is a member of Nepali Heritage Center, Canada. She was actively contributing to her homeland during the COVIDovid-19 pandemic and earthquake.
Amrita plans to invest in the food and hospitality industry and encourages the new generation to believe in themselves and work hard towards their goals.
