Amidst the bustling landscape of Kentucky, a promising youth entrepreneur shines like a beacon of ambition and dedication. Arjunkishor Neupane is known not only for his relentless work ethic in the business world but also for his staunch commitment to community service.
Arjun’s journey began in Payiun-5, Parbat district, Nepal, where he was born and raised in a modest, middle-class family in January 1990. He grew up in a small village, a place bereft of basic amenities such as road connectivity, electricity, safe drinking water, and a major hospital. Arjun’s brilliance shone through his determination, as he embarked on a daily hour-long trek to reach school, showcasing his commitment to education.
After completing his early education in the village, he set his sights on Kathmandu for further studies, ultimately graduating with a BBA from Tribhuvan University in 2011.
Career: In February 2012, Arjun embarked on a new chapter in the United States. His early days were fraught with challenges, and he toiled in a warehouse job until 2015. However, his ambition burned bright, and he eagerly awaited the right opportunity to establish his own business.
In 2015, his entrepreneurial journey took flight as he ventured into the restaurant business. Two years later, he transitioned into the retail sector. Arjun’s motivation stemmed from a desire for financial independence. He candidly expressed, “I used to make $8.5 an hour, which means $250 a week. I thought I could not achieve financial freedom this way.” This realization spurred him to embark on his business endeavors.
Arjun holds a profound belief in the honesty, dedication, and hard work of the Nepali community in the United States. He attributes their success to their unwavering commitment to both their work and their families.
At present, Arjun manages multiple retail stores in Kentucky, symbolizing his ascent in the business world.
Arjun’s philanthropic spirit is manifested through the Anvi Foundation, which donates a minimum of $100 per month to underprivileged individuals in Nepal. He underlines that the amount fluctuates according to the needs of the recipients. Arjun’s charitable efforts extend to supporting families unable to afford their children’s education and sharing knowledge to empower transformation.
His dedication to community service is also expressed in his active involvement with the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). He served as the Secretary for the 2021 – 2023 term, embodying his deep commitment to the Nepali community.
Arjun’s entrepreneurial ventures span an impressive array, which includes Aabha Inc. (2015), Everest Energy LLC (2017), Olivit Point LLC (2018), Unique Food Mart LLC (2019), AJN Properties LLC (2020), Miracle Food Mart (2021), and Himalayan Liquor (2022).
He also possesses a strong command of the retail business sector, underpinned by his dedication and exemplary time management skills. His affable nature shines when interacting with customers and exploring new facets of the retail industry. His keen interest in investment reflects his forward-thinking approach.
Arjun aspires to support at least ten underprivileged students each year to further their education. He envisions a future where, after ten years of active business life, he can retire and return to his motherland, Nepal, to serve the community. His plans encompass economic and social development for his community.
Arjun resides in Kentucky with his spouse, Jyoti, and their daughter, Anvi, epitomizing the essence of a close-knit and beautiful family.
