He was born in Nepal and worked as a teacher in Marigold English Boarding School before transitioning to a role as a Social Development Assistant in a project funded by ADB and USAID. He also served in civil service as a VDC Secretariat.
Bijaya’s journey into entrepreneurship began when he worked various jobs, such as working at 99c Store in NYC in 2012. And before him as an assistant waiter in a restaurant, followed by a cashier in multiple convenience stores. He faced initial setbacks but persevered with the support of his wife, Shanti Sharma Bhusal. He eventually invested in convenience stores and worked tirelessly to make them successful.
His key experiences include social volunteering, small business management, and serving in leadership roles in various Nepali organizations in the United States. He has also been actively involved in charity work, including donations in Nepal and serving as a trustee and founding member of organizations like the Creative Nepalese Society in Houston.

One of Bijaya’s joyous moments was when he chose to work as a cashier in a convenience store in Houston, Texas, despite having a higher-paying job in the oil and gas industry. This decision was driven by his belief that knowledge and personal growth are more valuable than a higher salary.

Bijaya’s highest achievements include serving as a government officer in Nepal, earning a master’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology, and holding leadership roles in Nepali organizations in the U.S.
His plans include serving more in the Nepalese diaspora, extending his business both in the U.S. and Nepal, and continuing to make a positive impact on society.
Bijaya’s message to the new generation is to work hard, be open to diverse perspectives, be honest, respect culture, and be leaders of the new era.
He aims to establish a legacy of raising societal awareness from different perspectives and aspects.
