Dev Bhusal, a dynamic entrepreneur and business motivator based in Cypress, Texas, has established himself as a successful businessman with diverse ventures in the U.S. and Nepal, including gas stations, real estate, a supermarket, and a hotel business. His recent accomplishment includes the construction of a shopping mall with an entertainment zone in Pragatinagar, Nepal.
Born in Chitwan, Meghauli, and later relocating to Pragatinagar, Nawalparasi, Bhusal exhibited academic brilliance throughout his education. After completing his MBA from Tribhuvan University in 2001, he embarked on a journey to the U.S. in December 2003. Bhusal, known for his keen business analysis and calculated investments, holds a Masterr’‘s Degree in Economics from Birendra Multiple Campus.
Despite initial challenges, including being rejected in a job interview due to a lack of a U.S. degree, Bhusal persevered and obtained an MBA from St. Thomas University. He contributed significantly to Odrill MCM Inc., working as the Controller for nine years until the company faced bankruptcy amid a sharp decline in oil prices, the company’s daily revenue dropped from $200k to $15k.
Undeterred by challenges, Bhusal had already ventured into entrepreneurship, eventually owning seven businesses, spanning real estate and gas stations. His belief in teamwork as a key to success has not only propelled his businesses but also contributed to the growth of fellow entrepreneurs in the U.S. Bhusall’‘s commitment extends beyond business, as he has shared his knowledge by teaching accounting and economics at Lone Star Greens Point College.
In addition to his thriving business career, Bhusal has a passion for movie production, actively researching and planning future involvement in the movie and entertainment industry. Committed to community service, he initiated a Nepali School for children in Houston.
